Winters are tough in the Pacific Northwest, so I usually paint flowers in full bloom this time of year. Created as part of my Flowers in Winter series this mixed media tulip, with its bright background and hints of orange can brighten any space and improve any mood. It is perfect for a bedroom, home office or bathroom. I can see this, with its companion pieces – Flowers in Winter #1 & #3, as an appealing triptych. It will also work with Flowers #3 – Rose as a duo. Highly textured to add interest and depth. Texture will translate well to prints.
