I spent ten days in Marbella, Spain in May 2023. I spent my days exploring and sampling the delicious regional cuisine, but evenings were reserved, at least until dark, to watch the sun set behind the mountains. Sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, I feasted my eyes on the beautiful colors developing over the ridge and the calm Mediterranean. This image is from a photo I took on a special evening and used to create the original work. It was the one evening when storms were brewing in the distance. It made the sky an explosion of color.
