I normally only do people portraits, bust since December 2021, I've found myself completing three commissions of people's dogs. All were very different and the recipients were thrilled with their respective paintings. This is an abstract I ended up doing in a class and loved it. It was started with black paint and a small paint roller, I used different sizes of paint rollers, sponges, fingers, bamboo skewers and palette knives to create interesting texture. I also used colors I wouldn't normally use. I have to say I love the result, The original mixed media painting was done on an 18" x 24" sheet of Strathmore heavyweight acrylic paper.
