I created this richly textured painting by using moulding paste, collage, palette knife and sgraffito technique. I fell in love with Valencia, when I visited five years ago, with my then 16-year old granddaughter. We have such a wonderful time and made so many memories, it will always be a favorite place. Citrus are abundant in that region of Spain, lemons and oranges in particular. This started as a tulip painting, but it was missing something. Adding the orange circles, took me immediately back to Valencia. The colors are so vibrant and the painting makes me smile every time I look at it.
