This original work incorporates collage (homemade papers, old books and other papers), acrylics and pastels. It was inspired by my trip to Sicily, May of 2022. The evening we drove to the airport, the sun was setting behind the mountain and I could see light plumes of smoke reflected in the sunlight. I snapped a quick picture and realized I had captured a beautiful scene and all the colors of Sicily. This painting is the second in a series of three.
