The blue skies and orange trees of Ronda, Spain, were the inspiration for this painting. This beautiful mountain town above the Costa del Sol is where the actor Orson Welles, chose to spend the rest of his days. His ashes are spread in a park. If you ever have the chance to visit, take it. I would be happy to die in Ronda. Everything about the place is interesting and beautifully haunting. The painting extends to the edge and bottom of the canvas.
