This 12' x 12" mixed media painting on canvas is the third painting in my Sicily series. Inspired by long nights sitting on the balcony, overlooking the Bay of Naxos on the Ionian Sea. To my left was Taormina and to my right, hills dotted with lights as far as my eyes could see. The warmth of the night, the sound of the palm fronds swaying in the breeze and the softness of the waves lapping the beach, was what I hoped to capture here and what looking at this painting evokes for me.
